Oops, yes I should have checked before responding. And TopCashback are currently offering £40.40.

Either way, BE have just made me the same 6 months at half price offer, so many thanks for your original post about this.

    topcashback
i got it with my o2
I regret signing up for o2 as i didnt realise that my old package in my flat was 'Legacy' and signing up in new place was 'All rounder' basically meant the package i get now is utter sh!te and isn't true broadband...
So i guess being an o2 phone customer and getting the £50 from topcashback means i can bite my tongue until Oct....

Just wanted to say thanks - sent an e-mail as a poster above suggested, and lo and behold I sent an e-mail requesting MAC code and got offered 6 months half price.

Overall it's about £11/year, which is cheaper than most providers and saves the hassle of switching!

    Thanks so much.

Doh, I tried that and they just sent the MAC Code, no discount offered, must be the luck of the draw!

FWIW they sent me both the MAC code and the offer, in separate emails, so perhaps it may still turn up?

You don't need to have a Sky sub to have Sky broadband.
How about O2 (same network as Be)? If you have an O2 mobile you can register (it needn't be yours) then you'll get the £5 mobile discount. That would give your 'The Basics' for £8.17. But the cap is 20GB.
I wouldn't go anywhere near O2 'basic' package ,their so called 'Traffic management' drops you down to 800k 24/7.They transfered me to basics without telling me this,so I had to upgrade to their All rounder package which I'm pleased with.

Hmmm, I wonder how, or if, this affects things?
