Best advice of all is STOP TOUCHING IT! Really, unless it's a touchpad, there's no excuse for poking at your screen. Keep your fingers on the keyboard or the mouse and you'll only ever have to dust your screen.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

It's really dust - I usually leave my laptop in Hibernation mode when I'm away from it, but if I close the lid the damn thing always crashes, so the screen gets very dusty (as does the keyboard).

(one day I'll be able to afford a new laptop ... )
