let me know how you get on with music magpie, was going to use them but have heard mixed things . . . .

When I moved in with the OH we sent any duplicate DVDs and old CDs to Music Magpie and didn't have any problems. Worth checking on cex website too as there's some differences in what they'll accept and what they'll pay, worth checking them both out and comparing what you'll get/be able to send to each for maximum pennies :money:

Thanks for the info Catty. I had a quick look on cex, I'm at work :shhh: So I'll have a proper look at home but looks like I should be able to make a few extra pounds from the few DVD's which are surplus to requirement :T

Hi everyone. Hope you have all had a good DFW day.

I'm working away again today and tomorrow, but thankfully its only York, and not Germany this time.

Today is an NSD for me, as I can claim my meals on expenses, and I wont be having anything tonight that I cant claim for :j

I'll also make sure that I raid my hotel room of all of its toiletries, tea, coffee and sugar to bring home. I'm hoping that there may be a biscuit or two as well :D
Debt free since December 2015. It can be done

    Today I have / will :
    • checked banks - as good as they can be
    • sorted balance transfers so all my CC debt is at least interest free
    • been on freebies board and got 2 cinema tickets for sunday for my DD and her BF:D think I have managed a free audio book too :D
    • DD took packed lunch to college
    • got my food delivary today and finally should be able to start using scanner after resolving the issues with it. scanner has a fault , have to wait for a new one
    • all food from stores
    • little potter in garden - fence came down in wind , neighbour has offered to put up a new one if we split cost which is a result for me. pulled up a few weeds , front is at least presentable
    • list some bits on ebid / ebay - need to raise enough to buy at least one new mattress (need 2 doubles and a bedframe ) listed 6 items on ebay and 4 on ebid. DD likes the idea of clearing our clutter to buy new items which is good as she will be doing the PO run :rotfl:
    • continue to clear and organise more stuff binned / charity shopped
    • surveys done a couple on one poll .
    • competitions - had a bit of a break done a couple of instant wins - no luck as usual
    • Update sig :odone :o
    • sparkle :Ddone :D

Have been to opticians for extended eye test and very pleased to find all okay.
Have loved the sunshine today :D it feels great to be able to turn off the heating and throw open the doors and windows. Hope it continues :T

Pixie - well done on finishing your assignment:D. 1/2 day tomorrow (for studying) so will be trying again with mine!

    Today...

Leftover Shepherd's Pie for lunch (almost wishing I hadn't as just realised I've not a lot for tea as no potatoes)
NSD (as forgot to go to Mr T to get said potatoes)
Washing in so I can spread out over the week to avoid using the dryer

Been a bit dull & dreich here today so Mr Sun hasn't made it this far yet!

    Have a good evening everyone.

    Hello :j

Still feeling weird after US flight.Didn't get to sleep till 2am this morning, and up again at 6

    However, I have:

Made everybody laugh at work as I haven't made much sense :o :rotfl:

    Seen to chickens and dogs

Sorted out bulk of expenses for overseas trip

Not NSD as had to pay for new season ticket  and the usual car park at the station :(

HM meals from stores, including soup for lunch

Checked online banking - as expected

Received free energy monitor from Npower :j. I was going to ebay my Owl monitor, but discovered that the little plastic bits that keep the battery cover in place are broken, so can't . It needs new batteries, (and a little bit of tape) but if anyone is prepared to pay for the postage, and would like to give it a new home, they are welcome. Just PM me, first come first served!

Off for a bath and bed (and hopefully sleep!)

No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T
