Hi all. My other half has just got a laptop.. his housemates dont want to set up broadband in the house (one only wants to use it at work and the other uses his iphone for nerd needs aka updating his facebook) so hes looking to get a pay as you go dongle. Now, i know that the vodafone no expiry one was the best deal but what is the next best? i told him that he wouldnt be able to watch videos or download anything with a dongle, so as he will only be using it for light internet use, what would you suggest? i hate the 30 days limit. its rubbish and vodafone would have hundreds more customers if they kept this on!

Does he need the permission of the others to have broadband? If not that is still by far the best option. Failing that Three offer most download per £ but the best choice is the network which works best at that location.

Hi. I use a 3 dongle for internet because I have no phone line in my rented accomodation. It is £15 per month for 15gb allowance which is way more than enough, but the pay as you go ones didn't seem any cheaper to me. I didn't research that thoroughly so would be worth a look? But mainstream broadband is still far cheaper so it's worth looking at the broadbandchoices website. I found this useful.
