Well, as I suspected, Powergen have made a mistake.
They had my readings on file, but the computer had over-ridden them as it thought they were too high! They are higher than previous months, but that's because the Central heating went on in October.
Now had to pay another £80, which is they same as I was paying last year, BUT considering all the gas and electricity charges have gone up, I'm still better off.
Thought there had to be something wrong!
Anyway, I'm on the Winter Saver tariff now so there should be a slight saving next month.;)(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -

I will say I am very impressed with Powergen's Customer Service so far (having done customer service work myself I know how much more satisfaction it gives the customer if it is done in a professional manner).
The worst customer service I have had from a power company is NP****.
I too am very impressed with the experience of phoning powergen I can understand the people who answer the phone unlike bt and whenever i have phoned they answer promptly unlike Npower0 -
i phoned up powergen twice today and got straight thru each time!
if you dont keep a beady eye on how much elec your using and powergen are underestimating, you only find out once a year (when they review the DD), usually by the time you owe them lots; so i discovered last jan. had to pay double for 6 months to cover the excess. :-(0 -

Gal,
It may be an idea for you to edit your post. When the mods delete the Spam this guy has posted all over the place his quote will still appear in your post.
Last thing anyone would want with that company.0 -

I think the lower charge is due to the unusually warm weather. Shame you don't have the old bills to check. My useage on the last bill a couple of weeks ago in kWh compared to this time last year is about half.0
