hello i have recently setup a new netgear wireless n router (DIR-615), the problem im having is trying to connect my Linksys Wireless-G (WUSB54GS) usb adapter on my PC, i can connect both my laptops to router fine, and the adapter was working fine till change of router, i can pick up other networks but not mine so im assuming there is either some sort of setting to change in router or the adapter just is not compatible. could anyone shed some info if they can as i dont want to buy new adapter untill im sure its not compatible, i have looked to see if the router is operating in 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz mode but cant find the setting anywhere in router settings.
thank you
thank you

not a netgear buff, but try locking the router to operate on G-only wifi and see if you can connect the pc then, and also use WPA/WPA2 security, not WEP.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

look at section 3 under configuration within this link
ftp://ftp.dlink.co.uk/dir_products/dir-615/DIR-615_Manual.pdf
you have to set it for both
Mixed 802.11n, 802.11b, and 802.11g - Select if you are using a mix of 802.11n, 11g, and 11b wireless clients.

As an addendum, if as you have only a G model Linksys Adapter, it may be worth testing the router as G Mode only, some adapter/router combinations get their knix in a twist.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . I don't think the WUSB54GS will easily support WPA2, so if that's what the new router is running, then you need to do some changes. You could drop back to WPA, which isn't quite as secure, but way better than WEP. Otherwise it's down to trying to update firmware/drivers for the WUSB54GS - or getting a new wireless N adapter.0
