Anyway, with the increasing number of +1 channels, iplayer, and repeats at odd times the same week, you must have some pretty eclectic tastes if you can't watch everything you want time-shifted in some way.
You're saying that you've never encountered a situation where two programmes are being recorded on different MUXes and you want to watch a third programme on a third MUX? I've had it happen about twice in a couple of months.

No, I don't want to faff around trying to find a +1 channel or a repeat. The PVR is supposed to make recording easier, not more difficult! What did I pay all that money for? (exits left, grumbling...)

Only possible until your local transmitter goes entirely digital at "The Changeover"...

Surely even then you can still do it.

The PVR has two tuners and the TV has one. PVR to TV with HDMI lead and then a loop through from the PVR aerial out to the TV aerial input.

Does your PVR not offer find "alternate instances" when there's a clash then?

If it's on old TV & has only an analogue tuner & they have stopped broadcasting the analogue signal, the the TV's tuner is useless.
