How often does Vodafone do this?

Hi.
I updated my contract with Vodafone on 03.01.11. I agreed to a 24 month contract with 300 mins anytime, 500 mb internet usage and unlimited texts for under £20 including tax.

When the email came through with my contract it had 250mb internet usage. I contacted them by phone the the person agreed that I was due 500mb internet usage but he couldn't send me anything without me emailing them.

I emailed them, 14 emails later they still haven't had time to listen to the phone conversation. I've ask for a copy of the phone call but all I get is an email of the wrong contract!

The last email I received told me that they would contract me when they received any information and not to bother contacting them until then. That was over a week age.

What can I do, how long do I wait?

Do Vodafone make a habit of offering you a good deal to get you to take the contract and hope you will give up when they change it?

    Hi DMacl,

I am sorry to hear you have had trouble getting this sorted out. I would like to help get this all resolved for you.

I am not sure which department your emails were sent to but do you have a reference number for them? If you can send me that I can find your email and get a resolution for you.

If you don't have a reference number then can you send us an email here with WRT135 in the subject and a link to this thread.

You can also check what your plan includes by logging into My Account here. If you are unsure what you are currently getting with regards to your data then it will be shown under View Price Plan.

    Best wishes,

    Short answer, yes.

Long answer, no, but I'm not being truthful when I say that.

And of course you managed to get that meaningless email which shows they pretend to care, note nothing will ever be posted online to state 'that shouldn't be the case' or 'this is very serious, we must investigate'. It will always be 'sorry, please email us with WRT135 in the subject line and we will see what we can do'.

Vodafone, perhaps you can give me a job? I am sure for the little effort you put into complaint resolution I could easily churn off a few pretend apologies in my spare time in between my real job.
  • we also had this, we were told 12 month contract which when confirmed said 18 month also we had been told 12.50 a month then charged 15 per month and was meant to include internet but never did.
i was told they could do nothing about and i must have got it wrong i emailed an called and emailed and called to no avail. i asked for the recording and was told nope.

never did get it sorted but they sent me 2 memory cards by way of an appology - such joy!

  • Glad to hear it was sorted, but it does raise a question. Why does it take a representative to deal with it and get it sorted?. Assumingly it's the same departments the op tried to deal with that the rep on here did?. So why do these companies always seem to ingore the customer and basically call them liars?. Yet when a rep speaks on there behalf it cant get sorted quick enough?.

It does not seem to put any level of trust in having a call centre to deal with such issues when we hear more and more that the customer is told to go away as they are wrong.

To be fair to the web team, in my experience they do usually sort things out for you. You can contact them via the vodafone forum too.
