BEWARE: Please read on... If you are quick you can get through on 0845 812 3838 - IF YOU HAVE ORDERED FROM ANY OF THE COMPANIES IN THIS THREAD - GET YOUR MONEY BACK TODAY BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!!

Mallory bathrooms, otherwise known as aqualuxshowers, Sinktapsandshowers (dot com) and a few others i think...

Anyways, I paid for a £280 bath screen from this site last week and since doing so am very concerned about this company. I smelt a rat when I received no order confirmation, I've since had no replies to any emails and their online chat is never online. I have left numerous answer phone messages but nothing? No delivery and no response - very concerned! Here's what I have found...

Any help or advice from anyone who's bought from them before would be great! I'm 24hours from calling my bank to try and reverse the payment :(

Done a little bit more digging, and it appears Mallory bathrooms (and the others) are owned by a company registered at a different address called Quoba Ltd... http://www.companiesintheuk.co.uk/ltd/quoba

Does this make sense to anyone?

I bank with barclays, it was my visa connect card. I can't get on any of the mallory bathrooms websites now - looks like they have taken them offline?
  • I ordered a corner sink on 30 January, the £66 including delivery was taken off my credit card (for security!!) on 31 January.

I received an e-mail which claimed to be my "invoice / acknowledgement" but nothing further since. The e-mail stated the courier company would contact me by telephone to arrange delivery

I have been on hold on the 033 3800 1273 number given on the website a few times now...the most recent for 15 mins and I get the feeling I'm never going to get through!! Although the message does change at night which is where I have left messages. I have sent e-mails and am getting absolutely no where.

I think I may contact my card company to get the money back - it's not looking good

I assume the money has been taken. I think you will need to ask Barclays to do a "Chargeback" since it is a Debit Card - but I'm sure someone will be along to confirm this.

    update...

I've just done a credit check on them, they are currently running at 15 (out of 100) which is REALLY BAD!! Their official status in terms of credit is VERY HIGH RISK...

I spoke to a guy who said the companies were not related [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] and they have nothing to do with bathrooms. So I said so its not the same director? [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] and he's not linked to this company too? He said yes they are connected, so I asked for directors contact info and thats when he got a bit sheepish about it and put me on hold. He came back to the phone, asked me my full name - then said I had been refunded. Its strange how a company that has nothing to do with mallory bathrooms, all of a sudden has my order details and the ability to refund me isnt it?!!

  • Now they are saying to contact your bank for a refund and they only share the same building.

A number of the companies registration number is Iustus Ltd which supposedly has different directors

    THEY WON'T REFUND ME

That's rubbish, if they only share the same building how did they access my order details and refund me?
