Tracing missing investment

11 years ago I invested some money (about 5,000) in an internet fund call DIT Global strategies internet fund. The only information I have is the old bank statement which shows the transfer.

Obviously the internet crahed in 2001 so I am sure I lost a lot of my original stake but neverthless maybe there is a couple of hundred quid floating around.

I understand that DIT was taken over by Allianz global Investors in 2002 or 2003 and I am now having no joy with them answering any questions.

Any suggestions?
Money won't buy you happiness....but I have never been in a situation where more money made things worse!
