Had anyone grown 'hundred and thousands' tomato seeds? I've just ordered some from ebay (it was the most convenient way of getting hold of some seeds!)

Grew them last year from some free packets I had. Good yield, sweet but very small toms (smaller than tumbling toms/gardeners delight etc).

    Moneymaker????

Sorry, but I have to interject.

Compared to some of the Heirloom Tomatoes - Moneymaker are like dust.....

For Cherry Toms; Try F1 Sungold [as mentioned] or Maskotka

For Mid-size Try Red Zebra on here or Bloo.dy Butcher

For Beefsteak - Amish Paste again on the above site

For Plum, F1 Roma is good but some of the Heirlooms [esp the black ones] have a much heartier and fuller taste

For beautiful slicing try Costoluto Fiorentino

Nicky's Nursery do a tomato selection - and the seeds last years - so you could buy a selection, save from the ones that you enjoyed the best and use the ones you didn't enjoy to swap for others to try

You'll get a more varied crop with heirlooms; and last year I was still picking toms from a type bred by my chum in November, in all 3 greenhouses that I use around the country including here in the Midlands....
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.
