  • I was involved for a short time with Ciao. I eventually hit about £6 and duly received my money through PayPal. The down side was that there were an awaful lot of surveys in which I didn't meet the criteria for participation, and had to undergo what felt like a survey in itself before I could be told that.

I Imagine that is why it didn't make it into any of these lists.

Is this something that happens across the board with online surveys or was Ciao a dishonourable exception?
  • I wonder if someone could help me with a query I have about e-vouchers,I'm quite ignorant on the subject and am having trouble finding anything out.

It's quite simple,if you request an e-voucher from a survey site rather than a paper one can the code be used instore or only for online shopping?Hope someone can help. :)

Which survey site and which store? I imagine it would depend...

I always get amazon vouchers which are always online. I think if it's a 'real' store they often send a paper voucher.

I must admit i used Ciao and they were awful. One of the most poor companies i have dealt with. Took them 4 months to reply to my ticket and then totally ignored what I had actually written.

Unfortunatly you started with a bad one. Others are far better so don't let it put you off.

Normally I would say online only. but as the Marvollousaunt said could dpend on the store.
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!
  • Blimey that was quick!I meant e-vouchers in general but in this particular case an e-voucher from Valued Opinions for either Argos or M&S.

They would normally be sent in and email and you would get a code. When you come to place an order online it will say something along the lines of "Enter voucher code"at some point during the buying process (all sites are different about what stage they let you do this at). If you enter the code it will knock xx amount of money off.

Sometimes the 'enter code' box or similar is hard to find. If you don't find it before pressing 'confirm order' you've missed it somewhere. Go back and have a look (I somtimes have to)

I've just been on Valued Opinions (and incidentally, my last survey is now credited, reward time! Woo!) and when you hover over M&S or Argos it says 'Offline voucher' so I think they would send you a paper voucher.
  • Thanks to both of you for your swift replies.I specifically meant could I use the code instore rather online but marvellousaunt appears to have answered that, they take up to 28 days to arrive which is why I would have preferred the e-voucher and I need to use it instore.

Ciao were pretty awful, the rewards for each survey seemed to be completely random and not based on how long they took. Thankfully they were taken over some time ago by Toluna, which seems to be a slight improvement but are still not one of my favourites...

Ciao were pretty good I found, easy to earn money quickly.
Toluna is worse than Ciao was.

How do you send referral invites using the new Valued Opinions website ?
