Thanks for the list OP :). I've done surveys for the last 4/5 years but so far this year had too much on my plate to have time. However from end June I'll be back to them, as in the past they've paid for all my Christmas presents and a few birthday ones. On average I was making £70-£80 a month by working at them for an average of 10 hours a week. Broken down that approx £2 an hour, not brilliant but pretty good if you consider all I was doing was sitting with my feet up in front of the lappy and drinking tea ;).

There are a few I've not done in the past, am going to give those a try too and see which ones are for me. Thanks again for the list :)

Valued Opinions chuck you out of a survey when you have waste a lot of time on it. I understand that the first few questions on a survey will review your eligibility, but VO have a habit of letting you spend over half the time allocated answering questions and then present you with a "sorry you have not qualified" screen.

^^^This is very true. Has happened to me many times. But I have had roughly £60 worth of vouchers from them in just over a year.
  • Just to let you know I have added a few more sites into my first post which are:

    Synovate
    We Pay Per Survey
    WH Smith Surveys
    Your Say Pays

If anybody would like to suggest ones I have missed, please let me know and I'll add them in.

  • Has anyone had an invite to Research Opinion Poll through the post? Its a prize draw rather than guaranteed cash, but I'm just wondering if it's dodgy or not as it asks you if you want to be sent free catalogues at the end........it's an opt-in thing, but I don't want to fill it out and then be bombarded with more rubbish in the post/via email.

BTW, fab info misssarah - I dabble with opinion surveys (only GfK and just joined asda) and shopping monitors (shopandscan), but looking to do more to earn some extra pennies
I'm a girlie whirlie despite my username

    Sorry, never saw your question.

I believe once you reach the minimum required for a paypal payment it becomes an option for you to select from the list provided.

    Hi,
thanks for the reply. i am quite new to surveys but seems like an ok way to get a little extra cash. i have going for around 4 weeks and i am on 8 sites now. i have made around 55 pounds so far, just wondering if that is a good amount or could i possibly expect more? Of course i havent hit the level's needed to cash in on that money.
I am also wondering to you tend to withdraw as soon as you hit the required level or is it better to just continue accumalating points/cash and cash out a bigger amount?
    cheers

I think the amount you have got is fair. Its very variable to who your with, how many you do etc If your happy with the amount you have for the times you've spent doing them thats all that counts.

I'm a bit obsessive and have a 'pot' for everything. I personally withdraw as soon as I reach cashout. I was involveed in 'cashback clicking' (wont bother explaining as it's dead in the water now) but a lot of people lost a lot of money because the sites went bankrupt and they had let the money mount up. For that reason since nobody is safe in todays climate i cashout straight away.

I have a voucher draw, payapl account and bank account that I direct my survey money into (also other money I earn from doing my extra's) and keep this as my 'holiday' fund.

I would suggest setting up similar if you plan to put your profits aside for a set reason, otherwise it gets mixed up with your day to day living money and just dissapears. I personally like to see my pot grow.

    Hope that helps
