    Hello :j
    Today I have:

    Worked at home today as I was travelling back from work trip all weekend. I HATE missing weekends with my family :(

    Done a surprising amount of work despite being jetlagged though :D

    Also:

    * checked bank and moved some money around as I was overseas when I got paid

    * tidied up a bit

    * rang estate agent to clarify return of tenants' deposit held with them under the government's deposit scheme (once they move out that is). I have been meaning to do this for a couple of weeks. I am SO looking forward to getting my house back - we live in a house that goes with my OH's job, brought up kids on really low pay, and worked so hard to get the money to buy a house of our own in our mid 50s. It was hard having to rent it out - OH's employer insisted he live on site. He is now so fed up with his job that he doesn't care! The mortgage is tiny, and I have a good job, so they can just stuff it and he will go self employed :T

    * took dogs for a walk

    * failed to face up to weighing myself after US trip :eek:

    Sort out car insurance which is due in the next few weeks - may need to pay for it monthly for the first time in 7 years :p!!! Hoping it's not going to cost loads extra **fingers crossed** Will sort tomorrowx x x

    I've just redone mine and like many people it was going up megabucks for no reason - tried Mr S and it was loads cheaper! Might be worth a try if you're checking a few sites.

    Today I have ....
    Been busy at work all day - didn't even manage more than 1 cup of tea (and that was at 7:50am)
    Avoided shops at lunchtime
    Popped to Mr C to get some more cat food on offer (finishes tomorrow)
    Took dog to beach on way to Mr C
    Made shepherd's pie for tea & did enough for leftovers for lunch tomorrow

    Snow here today:( - hate driving in it so fingers crossed it's gone by the morning.

    Have a good evening everyone

    £1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000
    Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
    Debt free & determined to stay that way!
  • Took in my own lunch to work today - homemade veg soup, plus fruit to snack on so didn't have to spend any cash today on lunches;
    Took a survey on Valued Opinions and earned £1 (now balance is at £15.60 and I'm waiting for £4.50 in credit);
    Listed a few books on ebay;
    Found out I'm getting a bonus today from work :-)
    Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

    Today I have

    - Cheap breakfast at work, I don't feel great today, got a cold brewing like it seems a few of us have. Had a tea and cake for lunch, cereal for dinner I can't be doing anything else.

    - Checked online banking
    - OH got an unplanned OD letter today dated 26th Jan, I don't think he will be charged as it was £1.27 but still a joke to send a letter so late :eek:
