Monday 7th February - What small DFW things will you be doing today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Gooood morning everyone - happy new week to you all:rotfl: Must keep the spirits up (a la DNMS) - I'm quite cheery, ready to have a good week.
Hope you all had a lovely, relaxing (if possible) weekend, not spending much money of course;)
So, off to work for me...just a short week though, have in inset day during it so 3 days of work and 1 of Uni...not bad:T
Ok, here's my list:
Have a fab Monday everyone:beer:

Good morning everyone and thanks to pixie for starting the thread today.
kel - I felt the same when I got on the scales yesterday and my weight hasn't changed, but DS2 pointed out that at least it hasn't gone up. I did feel slightly better then, knowing that I had eaten 4 slices of Hummingbird cake during the week.:eek:
So far today I have:- run DW overnight on Economy 7
- checked banking
- checked for surveys
- made lunch to take to work
- fed and watered the chickens
- charge mobile at work

- do a half hour walk at lunch time
- read for the other half hour and avoid the shops
- dinner from stores
- only buy milk on the way home and nothing else

Good morning ladies (is it just ladies here?)!
Kel - sounds like you are getting into a very healthy lifestyle, good for you! That will serve you better in the long run than a pound off this week.
I'm feeling like a cold is coming on so I'm rolling out all the wives tales - eating raw garlic and spoonfuls of honey, drinking juice and raw ginger / lemon / honey tea, eating oranges and gargling with salt water. I really, really dont want to get sick before I fly on Friday to America - I'm going for my granddad's 90th birthday and it would be rubbish if I couldn't give him a hug for fear of giving him whatever I've come down with!! I'll do one of those breathing over a pot with hot water and lots of herb-y goodness things tonight, any other suggestions?
Today I:- will walk to work (40 min)
- work like mad at the office as loads on
- eat lunch from home (vege chili with brown rice)
- dinner from meal plan and stores
- gym after work
- check banking and update spending diary / budget
- sew in ends of yarn to finish cot blanket (yay!)
- free cuppas and water at work
Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000Debt free as of 1 October, 2010

Aww Kel!! The chances are your body fat is reducing!!! it just didn't show up. I use to get myself into a pickle when my weight was the same but a few day later, I had infact lost a couple of pounds even when I have had treats:D. So don't worry, we always want to see progress, it's there so check again a few days time to see what happens. As mentioned before, it takes me 4/5 weeks to lose 2lbs and during that time I do have treats and keep up the armchair workouts but I do lose the weight!! So chin up and keep going, and you will see the difference!!!:T0 -

Nott, that sounds great to me, ginger works wonders!! I drink this everyday, but it's one the reasons I very rarely get the full blown flu symptons, the most I get is a runny nose but thats it. Feel better soon!!!:)0 -
