Thanks, Jo. I lit a candle.
There are 40 candles for Diva now. It's lovely to see so many people taking the time. Thanks to Mrs B and Jo for the inspiration and organisation.

Please may I join in - I work full time but need a bit of motivation to start doing some cleaning when I get in around 6.00pm so that I can spend the weekends doing fun things with my DDs. I vacuumed my floors yesterday but did manage to empty the fridge, wipe all the shelves down & bin anything past it's best so that I could unpack my Tesco delivery when it arrived at 8.10pm this evening - hopefully this will count towards my 'flying' tally?

Looking forward to tomorrows tasks - will do my mirrors tomorrow night as I find doing those strangely rewarding (although a little scary when I can see myself more clearly in the mornings!). Can anyone help me out with a shop that stocks the pink liquid windolene - my Tesco doesn't do it and I prefer it to the spray window cleaners? Thanks

May I also join the merry throng? I've only just got home but read this at work and managed to phone and persuade DH to hoover the sitting room (which I'd decluttered last evening). This is flying at its finest - getting someone else to do it :rotfl:

My DD has just come to say goodnight and said, wow, it's very tidy in here. Enough said. This must continue!

Rest of the house looks like 17 tips. Baby steps, that's the way...

:xmastree: welcome aboard to you both :xmastree:

I'm in again this week - thanks pigpen and Toots x

I'm so sorry I wasn't able to complete the purple list for Diva today but she has been in my thoughts and I have been wearing purple socks. I have also lit real and virtual candles x

L-L - a beautiful post; lots of hugs and prayers for you x

embb - so glad DGD will be home soon x

I am on a course tomorrow (KS1 P.E. - don't laugh!!) so I get a bit of a lie-in, an early finish and a 10 miles shorter journey each way!

Dinner cooked with an extra portion to freeze, washing up done, lunch prepared and washing in machine.

Forgot to change over the stuff in the dryer, so need to be up for a bit longer. I'm going to put away all the clean laundry from the airing cupboard, and there will then be space for the stuff I plan to wash tomorrow. Then make the bed, and if there is still time, hoover a bit more upstairs.

My plan at the moment is to maintain the state of the stuff that I HAVE tidied, and gradually get it clean again (one layer of dirt at a time!), and only then move on to the next bit. So I suppose its a bit like AnW's dot-to-dotting... except on a larger scale. I absolutely MUST find time tomorrow to plant the tulips (more stuff out of the way too) and wash the downstairs floors - just mopping, not scrubbing (which is what they really need).

Managed to make some progress with the work that was bothering me too, which always helps. Deadlines are still a bit scary, but I'm sure I can catch up with myself before it gets too bad.
  • All done. Have been wearing a purple jumper all day (the only purple thing I possess which I haven't worn for years!).

Coffee table now decluttered (just a very forbidding cabinet to do now - but I'm leaving this till next LR day).

    See you all tomorrow...

Can you not divorce him to get him out of your life?

Wishfull thinking but he keeps on contesting it. So far its cost me over £1800 in solicitors fees and hes sat their laughing as he doesnt have to pay a penny.

Ah well the next letter he gets from solicitors will state that if he contests it then he will be liable for costs.

Back home from work which was an easy shift, very quiet tonight. Kids have loaded dishwasher and put some washing on, the lounge has stayed tidy and my youngest even made me a coffee when I got home. (He must be after something!)

Going to catch up with the thread then im off to bed,

    Hugs and spoons to all
