Afternoon everyone
We are all just about coping here but we had a lovely afternoon yesterday. Nana and Grandad paid for DS to be a Mascot for MK Dons footie Team, for his birthday in November and yesterday was the time for it to happen. He was given [as part of the package] a footie kit, programme with his photo in it, tickets for me and him to watch the game, an engraved medal and an ornament with the game details and his name on it. We got to meet all the players in the changing room [my favourite part!!] and they all signed his autograph book and had photos taken, he then trained on the pitch and then got to walk out with the goalie at the start of the game, shook hands with the other team and then came off to watch the game, in about 2 weeks he gets official photos sent to him, off him and the Goalie. It was a great visit [just a shame that Grandad wasn't there to see it but DS thinks he was watching from up above]
I have an afternoon with no-one here - bit quiet!! Don't know what to do with meself hehe, going to make a cake I think
Have a lovely afternoon all, love and hugs all round
Helen xProjects made for craft fair - 40
1st fair on 13/4/14 :j0 -
Very boring day here.
Can't remember whether I've done 2 or 3 HHIs
Washing out. Washing in - guess that was a bit too hopeful
Birds fed
Poo patrolled
Dogs so worn out that I fear there will be squabbles before bed time
Have washed one each of the two types of cushion covers to test them for washableness.:eek::eek: I can't believe the 'colour' of them now. Think one washed better than the other, but as there's no way I'm paying to dry clean them that's academic
Quick vac round upstairs (if only to collect the sugar) and hopefully downstairs later (to pic up the cushion bits) - I wouldn't have bothered with that a few weeks ago
Another cake tin emptied - only three to go now
Thought I'd treat my bruises to a long soaky bath - but my smelly fizzy thing wasn't smelly at all - so even that could have been better.
Lack of sleep probably curbing my enthusiasm!
I seem to have one cooked sausage (Mediterranean!), and three chunks of cooked bacon in the fridge ........... which I want to turn into something exciting for my dinner ........ which will probably turn out to be an omelette
Trying to decide whether or not to put the heating on.
OK, off to collect some hangers.
Anyone for an HHI or HH anything at 2.00 pm?Work is not my Hobby0 -
Afternoon all.
Back from a major assault on Mr T's - had a £6-off-if-you-spend-£40 voucher, so have filled another crate of non-perishable stores in the spare room.;)
Triker Major supportive vibes for DD2.Baby sis was heard asking 'do Primark JUST sell clothes, then, or do they sell anything else?'
She's NEVER been in
she's also never been in New Look and wonders if there's one in Northampton.
Mind you, I have rather ...er...odd taste in clothes, and my dislike of clothes shopping is such that I'd sooner clean a skanky loo!:rotfl:
Just going to pry Mr LW away from the GameSpy website now, as he's supposed to be making omelette-with-everything-in for our dins!:D
ETA: Mr LW has ironed a shirt that takes cufflinks for work on Friday, so that he can wear his amethyst (ie purple) cufflinks in honour of Diva.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

greenbee - I think that's right about how you feel. I went through something similar then when I joined T*sc0 diets last year it encouraged me to eat more veg and more fruit and drink more water to get back to where I once was. Even though I left the diets thing when I started exercising again cos it was too small(!) I kept up with fruit, veg and water intake. Alongside the exercise my mood lifted to a point it hadn't been at for years
That's why I'm afraid of getting out of the habit of running, has been difficult to keep going over winter (plus busy with uni and work) but when I go - like today - I relish the feeling of happiness it gives me (after, usually breathless and finding it hard work at the time!) and generally leaves me feeling pretty motivated and balanced out
I really do need to pull myself together. I keep planning to do stuff and then not bothering which makes me feel worse. And I'm seeing ex-OH on Tuesday evening (at least that's the plan at the moment) and it would be so much easier if I was feeling good about myself.
Suppose I should get myself showered and do something. Even doing some work would be better than lying in bed feeling sorry for myself0 -
Afternoon all - have finally finished deskjob: 10am - midnight yesterday and another 4 hours today:cool::T. Managed to do dailies today. Did no housework yesterday (apart from fire and cats) and noticed just how quickly it reverts to sty-dom
At least I notice it now!
Free listings weekend on ebay and this has been nagging at me for ages. I haven't got tons but I've got to teach myself how to do it first. Can someone give me a not-too-hard boot up the jacksy to get at least some of it done?!? xLose The Beef Challenge- start 17.01.11 3.5lbs/60lbs
Tone The Rest Challenge :A - start 17.01.11 Jan 10/14 days Feb 17/28 Mar 4/31
Buy Less Cr*p Challenge- start 01.02.11 Feb £0/£300
It's not the destination...
.............................. ...it's the glory of the ride!0 -

Now then GB, if you get up and dressed and doing something I'll get on with one of my procrastination jobs (accounts & invoices) or (website). Otherwise I'll fritter the day away.
Deal?
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.0 -

A shower might help you feel better (or a bath, book and cuppa treatment). Could you cherry pick a task that is not too bad and plan a reward?Lenza_Quidditch wrote: »Can someone give me a not-too-hard boot up the jacksy to get at least some of it done?!? x
