Halifax online transfers

No, I haven't had that problem. It's always gone thru OK for me??0

Never happened to me!
Has anyone else been caught out by the Hally processing bill payments to other people at the end of the working day - it happened to me once, and I subsequently withdrew cash during the day only to find myself £80 overdrawn at the end of the day!
And... apologies if this has been covered elsewhere... when is this "new look" internet banking going to come into effect?! They've been telling us it's coming soon for about 4 months now!!0 -
I've not had this problem either, it works fine for me.
One thing I have noticed twice in the last few weeks is that when I pay additional amounts from my Halifax current account to my Halifax One Credit Card account it shows up within minutes on the Halifax One account, I have always thought that it takes 4 or 5 days to get there, and always did up until a few weeks ago.Aiming to be debt free....but still off target0 -

vyman - I think it does online, but I still would think it wouldn't update on the credit card balance for a few days0 -

How weird! Never happened to me... I did have a glitch going on at one time where I'd try and pay my CC bill, but it kept telling me I'd already put through a payment when I hadn't.
Do you have one portfolio each, or do you share one?

I regularly transfer money back and forward between the accounts (differnt paydays etc). When I click the OK button, it says "thanksyou, blah blah, £xx.xx has been transferred from account A to account B", but probably 9 times out of 10, it doublesthe amount. I always, always double check by checking both the receiving and the new balance of the original account, but several times before I notices this going on, it's left me without enough funds to cover DDs and the like. It's only been through my being so on top of the accounts and money going in and out that I've avoided charges.
Is it just me and my PC? I also wonder whether it's a ploy to leave me without enough to cover bills, or am I just being cynical??I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Savings & Investments, Small Biz MoneySaving and House Buying, Renting & Selling boards. Wonderful circumvention;) But a bit painful.
You haven't got a programmable mouse? Click speed set too fast ? (but you'd likely have noticed oddities on other applications?)If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
Separate portfolios, so i have to sign in and out to check, it's a pain! Just got a new pc and mouse, so i'll see if it was anyhting to do with the mouse (didn't know you could programme them!)******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

Only some. Look in programs or on the desktop (or right bottom of the taskbar) for a link. Then have a look if there's a setting for the click /doubleclick and turn the speed down.
But I'm clutching at straws 'cos I think the way the Halifax is configured (with a double check facility) doesn't lend itself to being able to initiate a duplicate transmission from the one transfer. Except post #9 suggests it is.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
