Halifax online transfers

Has anyone else noticed this? We have 5 accounts between us with the halifax, and use their online banking. I regularly transfer money back and forward between the accounts (differnt paydays etc). When I click the OK button, it says "thanksyou, blah blah, £xx.xx has been transferred from account A to account B", but probably 9 times out of 10, it doublesthe amount. I always, always double check by checking both the receiving and the new balance of the original account, but several times before I notices this going on, it's left me without enough funds to cover DDs and the like. It's only been through my being so on top of the accounts and money going in and out that I've avoided charges.

Is it just me and my PC? I also wonder whether it's a ploy to leave me without enough to cover bills, or am I just being cynical??

Never happened to me- but when I increased my rent on standing order last month they took both amounts on the same day and I had a hell of a job getting it back!

No - never seen that. And I transfer between Halifax accounts on my Portfolio, many times in a month. Did several yesterday - no problem.

After you initiate the transfer from the drop down selection of accounts / SOs / bill payments - it asks you to confirm the account / amount etc. Is that figure double?

Hmmmm...just me then! No, when I check the amount, it's correct. Mostly now I just transfer half the amount and then it transfers double, so it's ok, but I just forget sometimes.

Thank you all for your replies.

I though it might be me being click-clickety-click happy, so have been extra careful, and still have the problem. Ah well, I'll just keep eagle-eyed.
