Secondhand iPhone and home insurance

Hi all,
I bought an iPhone 3GS off eBay a few months ago. I've added the optional extra cover for personal possessions to my home insurance, but I'm wondering if, should anything happen to the phone, I'd actually be covered as I don't have a receipt (or anything to prove that I actually have it!)?
Thanks for any help.

Take a photo off it and its serial numbers . You will have bid winning and paying details print those off .
But you may well find your excess means its not worth claiming anyway .

Cheers for that. I'll print off as many details as I can! The excess is £50, so in the event of a claim it's worth it.0

I doubt you will be able to claim, i have had phones added to policies like yours purchased off ebay and they were all void!
Phone them and ask, only they can tell you the answer.0
