Everyone told me not to get girls together but I had 2 boy cats both run over so I got another girl (well actually ended up taking on a mum cat and her girl kitten) - they all get on brilliantly now - but mum cat is totally laid back. Kitten adores my first cat!

I've had new cats that have taken up to a year to properly settle in but when I take in a rescue cat I can't bear for them to leave me.
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

Aww that's lovely to see them getting on now :) Just be aware they will probably still have little incidents for a few weeks and make sure old cat gets lots of fussing so she doesn't see kitten as taking all your attention. When I got a new kitten then every time she jumped on my knee older cat had to come up as well - at first she would just boot kitten off but then they would just both sprawl across me, they were sweet but bleedin heavy :)

It's been quite difficult to know what to do with that because Nala has never been a "lap cat". She'll only enjoy someone petting her head, nowhere else and she's independant. Myles (kitten) is a big softy and falls asleep on my knee. Do you think she'll still get jealous?
Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.

It's a bit harder when they are the independent type :) I would just suggest make sure if she does want petting she gets some, maybe give her a little pet when the kitten gets up off your knee if she's hanging round? I'm sure you'll know your cat pretty well and will be able to tell if she's feeling a bit left out x
