It's McDonalds of course you'll receive rubbish food ;)

I got sent 2 £5 vouchers after being given Chicken Nuggets instead of Cheese Bites they were doing at the time, we didn't realise until we got home so we phoned the drive-thu and just got told that the chicken nuggets cost more than the cheese bits so we got a bonus so I emailed their customer services and got sent 2 vouchers. When we ordered we asked for no gerkins on the big mac so it was made up fresh so at least when we got the meals they were freshly cooked and hot rather than being given something that they were ready for chucking out as we were using vouchers.

I recieved the voucher after a silly mix up with my son when we visited.

How I got the voucher is not the problem - I was just asking/stating - that I would get the crap if the voucher was produced before the the paying stage

Whoa. Was not expecting that sort of a response!

Perhaps I did not make myself clear, and somehow caused offence in the process.

Having a voucher does not mean that you complained to get it. It just means that you have a voucher. For example, if you are a member of staff working for McD's, they give you a voucher to order your dinner with every day. (Or at least they did when my ex worked there back in the day).

Following on from this, I can't see why you would get bad service just because you have a voucher. They may think you are just a member of staff and give you fresher stuff (happened to my ex!)

I think that when you ask for advice, especially regarding controversial subjects (on here anyway) you will get mixed responses which may not all be to your liking.

I do have to say though that I would never have thought that if i had a discount voucher that I would receive sub-standard levels or service or food. Maybe I am too laid back?

why do people get on their high horse and have a rant about fast food? wherever you turn there is always someone telling you not to eat burgers, kebebs, pizzas, chinese, indian takeaways etc. come the summer gardens up and down the country will be enjoying bbq's (burgers), people go out for a meal to the indian, you can buy pizza from asda, its all about balance, as long as the diet is varied the body will cope, i try to make sure my 12yr old son eats a healthy diet with home cooked meals wherever possible and let him have a treat day on a saturday were he helps himself to a maccies or burger king its only meat after all, the same meat you get in a so called healthy shop bought family shepherds pie.

most of us adults are hypocrites anyway, slagging off maccies as being unhealthy for the kids but the queues outside the greasy burger joints on a friday night is full of grown ups
    Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.
  • If they are the red £5 vouchers, they are only issued by customer services, which the staff serving you will know, and I'm sure would go out of their way to ensure your meal is spot on, as they know you've had problems before. Nobody wants customers to have cause to complain.
  • Best string me up too as I like the odd strawberry milkshake :)

If I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere and am skint (as has happened when I was in a touring band) I used to buy two or three of the garden salads. Not the most fresh looking meal but a damn site better for you than the burgers.

And, as you can mostly see the food being prepped behind them I think you needn't worry.

Well we got some vouchers in France after appalling service but none of the Mcdos in our area of France will take them! Plus the service is still terrible!

Whatever people may think about McDonald's food, their restaurants have some of the highest food hygiene standards in the catering industry.
