Sometimes I get vouchers printed on the back of bus tickets, which I have used before. One of the terms is 'cannot be used at a McDonalds with a drive-thru'. Why? The one 5 mins from my flat has a drive thru. The nearest two that don't have drive-thrus are the ones in town and one in a food court in a retail park - which has a separate McDs with a drive thru as well!

My friends and I think McDs are losing out because of this silly term.

Why? The odd fast food meal never hurt anyone. ;)

I am on Weight Watchers and had KFC and fish n chips and have lost weight. These have been on different weeks. Providing you point it correctly.

    53lb (3st 11lb) lost - another 42lb (3st) to go

    Thank you for that info
I just did not want to give the voucher, and then place the order and get something that had been dropped on the floor earlier :(

I have to say that is rather paranoid of you tbh! McDonalds food is not exactly the sort of stuff you want your kids to eat every day but they have to keep to the food hygene regulations as much as any other food prep establishment and given that you can usually see into the preparation areas, I would think their food handling practices are almost certainly better than many other cafes and premises where the food is handled behind closed doors. It will be junk but it will be clean fresh junk.

i work ar mcdonalds and you will see the same request on all vouchers, it's just so that it can be entered through the till correctly otherwise staff have to do voids and high voids leads to disciplinary action. The food will be the same unless you get a clued up crew member who knows what it is for and will make sure you get gold standard food. Any food that is dropped or below standard goes in the bin as does food that has been waiting over ten mins.
  • MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. • I love their Double Whoppers. My veggie friend says that McD's sells "gasoline flavoured muck"
I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.
  • I am afraid but when the Geek accepts your voucher, it is processed by the till in such a way that amber lights flash on the burger flippers stand and he takes the necassary measure to ensure your food is inedible. You would be better off down the Old Dog and Duck and Brenda will serve you up some good old Spotted !!!!!! and thick custard. You can throw the voucher into the fire.

I find it truly surprising when someone mentions that they are going to or have eaten fast food the amount of people who come on here berating them for it.It happened on a previous thread about KFC i believe.

As i stated on there it is up to the person what they eat,yet you get the veggies screaming down there monitors how rubbish macdonalds food is,well im equally repulsed by the thought of eating bloody lentils, and cabbage every day.

Its a food outlet and most people only visit on occassion, its fast and convenient at the time.

As to the OP use your voucher and enjoy your Mcdonalds,im certain that you will get the same as everybody else and your food will not have been tampered with.

As for the veggies who bemoan Mcdonalds, enjoy your quorn, and your pulses and cabbage, its your choice of meal just as the people who will on occassion go to Mcdonalds.

Surely 'if' the OP thinks the vouchers are only given to complainers the common sense approach by the staff would be to ensure the meal was as good as it could be so the person that complained didn't complain again.

    Thank you for your information.
Just been telling my partner and son about some of the comments on here - they are shocked. Because people do not know me and what type of person I am, or what I feed my family

Well that's not entirely true - we know you fed your family MacDonalds in the past, and we know you're planning to again.

But sure, go and hand in the voucher and get your burgers. TBH it's not as if they can do much else to the food, is it? :)
Oh come on, don't be silly.

    It's the internet
    - it's not real!
