Seller pestering for feedback

Feedback isn't obligatory; I do it when I get around to it.
If someone hassled me for it, I would post a neutral back, and say why.0 -
I had a seller harass me for feedback (before the stars) so I kindly gave them a neutral along the lines of
here's the feedback you nagged me for in 5 emails in 6 days, item good though.
Yes they had already left me feedbackThe best portion of your life will be the small, nameless moments you spend smiling with someone who matters to you.0 -
Why not be kind and send them an email telling them that hastling for feedback gets most peoples back up so they will get the opposite result than they want. You could explain to them that because their service was good, people would give good feedback anyway, but by hastling people they are probabley getting less. Be nice it is just an over anxious seller who doesn't understand buyer psychology!0

I thought sellers sell because they want money in exchange for their items.. and buyers buy because they are prepared to part with they dosh in exchange for the item.
Looks like I was wrong all along, sellers sell because they want to exchange feedback, and need confirmation that they are a good seller and a nice person really....0 -
I bought an item last week and since the moment the order went through I've had 5 messages asking for feedback. Most of them are saying how they want to protect their excellent feedback and DSR's.
Here's one of them:
Please note: We rely on +ve feedback and 5* DSR ratings to maintain our business.
We pride ourselves on offering quality items with excellent customer support.
If you are happy with our service, please take the time to leave us, feedback and a minium 3 star detailed seller rating once you have received your goods.
If you are not happy please contact us first before leaving feedback or escalating a case so we can deal with any issues you may have immediately.
I'm not happy with being told what feedback to leave. The product is good and delivery was fast but I hate being pestered for anything (ask my son lol). I'm tempted not to leave any FB. What would you do?
I would turn their note back on themselves and say something along the lines of:
'Please note: As a buyer I rely on Sellers not hassling me for feedback to maintain their business and I will leave what ratings I feel are appropriate for the transaction.
I am contacting you as I feel that by telling buyers what feedback to leave for an entirely voluntary act you are doing yourselves a disservice as your only achievement is to annoy your buyers and you are more likely to get bad feed back and low stars.
I also do not appreciate being bombarded by similar emails all asking for a rating and suggest if you want to maintain a good business relationship with your customers, including their repeat business that you review your email policy'.
Then up to you whether you are benevolent and leave them good stars for this particular service or not. If it was okay then either leave the ratings requested or not leave any at all. You may cut and past if you wish.0 -

1 emails acceptable (sometimes I forget) more than that and I wont leave any.
Off topic, my pet hate is business sellers that leave feedback with their business name in it. Another reason I'd not leave feedback.0 -

To be fair I ought to add that this is a buisness seller with 16,000 feedback, some good, some bad. I'll give them a positive as they gave me automatic FB after I paid, but may add about pestering for my FB.0
