  • Not sure you are in the right section with this question!

It is much cheapr to hire a car or van from Super U supermarket than the airport. 600 sites and prices from 5€ per day insurance included. You would probably need a taxi to the shop though.

if your French is a little rusty then here is the translation:

That look's really interesting, but I'm finding the site really difficult to navigate, can you book online? Don't suppose you have any idea which is the nearest Super U to CDG, I'm sorry to bo so cheeky, we are going in April & even with Google translate I'm stumped.

Had a look at Magasin-u website... looks like the closest one to CDG is Le Thillay which looks like maybe a couple of miles west of the airport as the crow flies.

Don't think you can book online it tells you on their website to contact the store for booking.

I've never used the Location-U hire myself (considered it once for a van but they had an inclusive daily mileage limit which was a deal breaker at the time) but it did seem very reasonably priced for the basic hire. Not sure if the cars have a similar limit on the mileage without extra charge though.

The telephone number for the Le Thillay store is 01 34 04 70 40. Maybe you know someone who speaks french who could telephone for you... if not load up with a few basic phrases saying you want to hire a car and explaining how sorry you are your french is very poor and maybe there is someone there who can speak english. I'm sure if the person on the phone doesn't speak english they will acknowledge your attempt and find someone who does.

Thank's Bogtrotter, I managed to book car hire via expedia a few weeks ago.
