but personally i'd feel short-changed buying the motorola C957 for a fiver! Battery life is disgraceful and the phone itself is quiet big and chunky...not my kind of thing

    hey,

ive been on 3 for a couple of years.....

    some points i hope help....

    1. the network coverage is not crap. its excelent. its O2 coverang WITh 3 (3G) coverage. therefore 2 networks. the only reason they got a bad rep was cos the early phones couldnt get signal (as the handsets were pants)
    2. the new phones are very very good. siignal is gr8 features gr8 etc
    3. the phones are big(ger than little 2g ones). the battey life is quite short (NOT un-live-withable in my experience. trhat said they do do a lot more.
    4. the call centres are crap. if you dont get some useless call centre monkey in india you get one in scotland. neither are easy to understand if you dont come from those regions.
    5. there offers are gr8 - tell them wat u get and u will prob get it.
    6. dont buy the £5 moto C975 or watever - its pile and you will be put off 3 forever - spend a bit more and you get a lot back

3 are very quick at "fixing" phones. i must say that if they actually "fix" it is up for debate, but thats true for most networks from what ive seen/ heard.

and yes in the ZTE thing the SIM is glued.

  • Don't dis 3 until you've tried it!
I have been with them for a couple of years - no worries - excellent offers - my last one 6630 with 500 voice and 100 texts cost me £1.99 a month over 12 months (with cash backs) VERY pleased!!
  • Does anyone know if you can unlock 3 phones?

    you can unlock any phone

all Mobile Network Operators have 2 networks, 3g and 2g - just 3 dont have their own 2g network and instead use 02's network as it would have taken them too long to build it

agreed 3's call centres are hopeless....the worst ive used

Yeah, I remember 2 - 3 years ago, my one set of cousins and their partners all decided to get a Three mobile, and they had nothing but problems with the phone, the service and customer services. They all switched to Vodafone 3G.

I've heard people say they have got better.

I've not long got off the phone from Three Customer Services, the call once I pressed a couple of options was answered in 10 seconds. The young lady I spoke was very pleasant, had an Indian name and a very nice accent, I had no problems understanding her, and she seemed to have no problem understanding me. I gave her my PAC details, and also requested my Voicemail be completely cancelled, she then said she'll call me back to confirm the PAC has been accepted on the system within 10 minutes, in less than 3 minutes she called back and told me the date it should change over on.

If customer service is as good as I received today then I'm happy with that.

Saying that, probably find something was entered wrong and the port will fail!

I'm porting from easyMobile, I have aver £160 of free credit on easyMobile, so I've donated some, entered competitions and also used it to top up my VoIPStunt account, so now have 364 free days with VoIPStunt and a fair amount of credit.
