Hi Guys,

My kids have an old Sanyo model number Ce25BN2 in the den to play wii on, well they cannot find the tv controller, so I can go up and down manually on the channels 1-99 but i cannot seem to find the av channel can anyone help?

BP xx

edit, so after everyones help a freecycler has given me a hitachi tv, c28w44on tv, guess what? He has not brought the tv controller, so now this tv finds teh dvd player straight away but still not the wii! So do I have the same problem that I had with the sanyo tv? Any help much appreciated, or can this one be manually tuned to AV channel without controller?

    Hi sam,

Thanks for the links, but looks like you have to pay, tbh I can buy another old telly for cheaper than manuals and replacement manuals, was hoping someone might just "know" thanks again though x

If it's only to play the Wii on, you see quite a few Tvs on Freecycle

Try unplugging the wii scart from the tv and pluggingback in if this does not work try an all in one remote.

    hi sam and pup,

tried taking the wii scart out but still no av just the other channels - it is for only playing the wii on, so will look at free-cylce or ebay, I just think its weird that I cannot manually tune it, I have a sky remote is this what you mean pup for all in one?

You can't tune it manually because you need to select a different ~input~, not a different channel.

As pupmaster says, any recent TV will normally switch to the AV input automatically when something active is plugged into the SCART, but it sounds like yours is too old, or possibly that the SCART lead that you're using is not a "fully connected" version (i.e. not all of the pins are connected).

Does the tv have a button on the panel that looks like a square with an arrow pointing in it?

Probably likely as the Wii comes with a scart adapter with standard red/white/yellow composite leads.

it is a very old tv, the wii scart is as sauce says red/yellow/white, I have unplugged and plugged in, but no joy, the only button on the panel are P (program) and teh volume - nothing else, so a lost cause??

Is there definately nothing back from channel 1. Does it go straight to 99? If so the solution maybe to replace the remote control.
