This is not quite right. As long as you have an Energy or Maintenance and Repair account with us (for example: gas, electricity, HomeCare 100® Kitchen Appliance Cover, or Plumbing and Drains Cover) you can collect points. Pay as you go customers should call the call centre on freephone 0800 048 0303 and your account will be linked with your Nectar card.
What I have said is correct. Please see my post 26 which refers to this offer.
What you are talking about is the Nectar points existing BG customers can qualify for.0 -
Someone needs to look into this as it seems to be hard to get the right info at the moment. Even BG staff cant seem to agree with whats on offer and are disputing that there is or has been the promotion the OP posted.
The link to BG in post 1 says you get 100 welcome points, 50p or £1, depending where you spend them, hardly generous for changing to a standard tarriff, and the 200/400/600/800 points for various options hardly inspire you to change. They are saying you can earn up to 1800 points a year (£9/£18 to spend)
Obviously 20,000 points for signing up makes a big difference though.0 -
I printed off a copy of the t's and c's from the nectar.com website yesterday afternoon. I also copied and pasted the t's and c's in post 26.
Once again, the link from post 1 is not working.
Bearing in mind what someone suggested yesterday, I might well go for this offer, if I can get it to work. I may well telephone Nectar in the mornin and see what they have to say.0 -
I've been thru all the links in this thread and cannot find anything regarding the 20,000 points offer. There's also nothing on the BG website about it although they do mention all same other points offers as per the Nectar site.
For anyone who already bought a qualifying financial product from Sainsburys last year (as I did with pet insurance) giving them TRIPLE Nectar points for 2 years - this would be a very good offer.
Hopefully it's only been pulled whilst they properly clarify the T&Cs.0 -
Just got off the phone to a Nectar supervisor. They are aware of the problem and are working on it. It is possibly something to do with BG being a new sponsor. They have pulled the link for the time being whilst they are trying to sort it out. It is just a question of keep trying, as she could not give me any time scale as to when it will be sorted.0

if you applied via their link when they specified 20,000 points then you should get them no probs.
if you find that they have given you less, then i suggest emailing nectar CS. they are normally fairly efficient and they should give you the extra points.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

We got pet insurance through them a couple of months ago, and I'm fairly sure the double / triple Nectar points only applies to purchases from Sainsburys shops or online, not everything.0 -
Does anyone have any update on this?
I e-mailed Nectar CS about this last Monday but got back some spiel about not awarding the points unless I click through on the link provided by them - didn't really answer the question because what I wanted to know was when will the link be working again!0
