Hi, I realise that Im late on the 'reclaiming bank charges' scene, but how do I know if Im eligible to reclaim any charges on my current account or related to PPI etc on my credit card?
I have a current account (advance account) and one credit card with HSBC.
Could someone tell me how I can confirm whether I'm eligible to reclaim bank charges (if any)?
Thanks
M

Have you read the MSE guides to reclaiming?
(You'll find the one on PPI reclaiming over on the PPI board, where any questions about that should be posted)
As for bank charges, unless you are in genuine financial hardship (or the bank has made a clear error) then there is little hope of success.
Read the sticky thread on financial hardship online resources if you think you that may apply to you."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Thank You. Going by the criteria of financial hardship I only check one of the many boxes, so Im guessing it's not worth trying to reclaim.0

Hi there
If you were mis sold PPI, then you do not have to be in the hardship criteria to make a reclaim.
As Premier says, you can post about this on the PPI reclaiming board for help on this issue here.

And more on reclaiming ppi here:

Hope this helps.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
