I think that the easiest thing is to just stop using the account. If there are posts that you've said something which you're not comfortable with, or have shared TMI and now regret, the best way is to individually delete those posts.

You CAN'T delete Facebook accounts, only suspend them. It was set-up that way in order to give a false impression of how many users there actually were.

Anyway, why would you want to leave MSE?, think of all the friends you would not be helping (or indeed receiving help from)

i agree with the OP here. I really dont think this site is for me. I started a thread on the praise vent and warnings board last night called "we have no water" just venting about the fact that we completely lost our water supply and eventually our electric too. all supplies are restored now but i have been bullied by some people on that thread. One of them is called darkpool and he is still doing it now. He is also deliberately taking what i posted on another thread "toys R us no bags policy" and deliberately using it out of context(the daily mail would be extremely proud of him if he was one of their journalists)so i know where you are coming from OP I want out too. I am thinking of contacting Woman magazine about this because Martin Lewis does the occasional column for them and i think they need to be made aware of what is going on on his website assuming they dont already know. There are other websites i and other ladies could post on instead such as ivillage.co.uk which i used to belong to or damsels and loads of others. What a shame that this country has come to this. It seems to have lost all its compassion.

dark lady, if you feel that a post is out of order, click the 'abuse' button at the bottom of the post. That's what it is there for.

Dark lady - the poster you are referring to seems to spend all his (yup, reckon its a him) time whingeing and whining his way through other peoples posts. Seems quite volatile too! Just take it on the chin or pop him on ignore. When you get a cross section of society commenting you will get all sorts from the meek and gentle to the total fruitcake. If I don't like what I hear then I don't revisit that thread. Simples.
Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed. ;)

You are absolutely right moneymaker i will no longer give him the satisfaction of acknowledging his posts. I also have a nasty feeling i know who he is. I used to work in a sex chatline office and he sounds alarmingly like one of my old callers. The area he claims to come from is the same. I have not revealed my name in any of my posts though and we always used to use fake names in the office. Its just that the way he says things and twists things is just what this other sicko used to do.

You want to contact the owner of this website's employer because one member (of hundreds of thousands) has posted something you don't like?

Wow. I think you need to take a step back and have a look at your priorities in life.

i did look at a cyber bullying website earlier tonight so that helped me "prioritise" Fang. And it was more than one person which you would have known had you read my post properly.

As moneymaker said, there are always going to be the people that try to deliberately wind others up, and those who just dont share your views on things. Best thing is to click the ignore button, or if you feel strongly enough, the abuse button. I think your being a bit. Just remember this person knows nothing about you and who you really are, ignore it.
