why delete it? just dont use it. if you are trying to use that to remove posts, they will still remain in the ether.

Not sure why you'd want to, but I'm sure if you contact admin they would sort it out for you.

If your account could be deleted, all your posts would go, which would mean that any thread you contributed to would be damaged. So most forum software does not allow accounts to be deleted.

Just change the password and forget it.
Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam

You can however delete your own posts individually, so if there are a few in particular you are worried about because they identify you too much, you could always delete them. I appreciate manually deleting 3,500 posts would be a bit of a tall order though!

That's rubbish, vBulletin is more sophisticated than that! You can delete member's accounts and it doesn't mess with the thread, either their posts remain or they go (depending on the options selected when deleting the account), the rest of the thread stays. Though may be a bit confusing.

MSE do NOT delete accounts, which is up to them :) We use this forum agreeing to their terms and conditions.

Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together
