Orange Livebox - Any Good?

We have an Orange Livebox coming in the next few days. Are these reliable? What is the signal like?
It's an old building and the walls are pretty thick. We used to have a Netgear 11b wireless set and the signal was pretty patchy.
Is this newer technology likely to be better, worse, or similar?
Thanks.

I have had loads of trouble with orange livebox. I have kept my d-link router which is great. Orange sent me a livebox which did't work and the trouble started from there. I range them more than 70 time asking then pleading with them to send me a returns pouch so i could send it back, instead they sent me another livebox which i did not even open. I have sent a really nice letter then a really nasty letter to customer services but still cannot get rid of these boxes. This has been going on since end Sept. I have received a letter from them at last dated 5 nov to say that the pouches will be with me in 7-10 days time. Wait and see because i have no faith in orange. :mad:0

Thanks for those links, I didn't realise that it was anything more than a wireless router but it seems to have been nothing but trouble for my friend and she is now anything but wireless as she is using it with the ethernet cable.0

Oh no..... I am waiting for my live box and as I am not wireless will be connecting via ethernet cable - as instructed by helpful orange man.
