    Hi all

Just received my Cap One card this morning with the 18 month @ 0%. To answer some of your questions:

    - Only took 10 days from me sending the app form it to the card arriving
    - Limit was £8k
    - Considering I've got £78k stoozed at the moment, most on cards I've opened in the last 3 months I'd say any limit was better than nothing. I half expected them to say go away
    - I did ask if the limit could be increased but this cannot be handled via the front line call centre people. Perhaps maybe worth waiting 6 months and then trying again when I have some history with them
    - BT cost £50 (money well spent)
    - Paying minimum 3% a month (clearly will eat into the stooze over the 18 months but can of course BT again perhaps at the halfway point)

Keep looking for the forms everyone. Well worth a go.

Thanks to DollyWops for sending me the original form

Well, I got a letter from Capital One this morning telling me that I can't have the 15 month offer but I can have 6 months interest free with a £5k limit. Needless to say, no reason has been offered but, since they wouldn't allow me to have the 18 month offer last year because the form had become "damaged in transit", I'm appealing as I know my credit record is spotless. I'll let you know how I get on.

My suspicion is that this is a marketing ploy and most applications will be declined. Cynical moi?

Does anyone know what the closing date on the application is?
  • It says that the offer expires on 1st August 2005.

However, does anyone know if they could withdraw this offer before that date due to overwhelming demand? I need to wait a while before applying but don't want to miss out on such a great deal.

Wpuldn't have thought they would withdraw it if they have set a date but I suppose they could if the demand was too high.

Does anyone know how you pay the BT fee? Do you end up paying interest on it for 18months?

Bye the way just got a coupon in todays Sunday Times - you'll neeed to buy a copy as I need it myself.

The BT is added to the balance you transfer but as the entire balance is interest free for the duration of the offer, you don't pay any interest on it.
