    Does you car use Platinum Spark Plugs like some japanese vehicles as these along would be £15-£20 each as that alone would account for £80 the filters oil etc would prob add up to another £70 so id say upto £180 in servicing would be correct for your vehicle from an Independant.

    :huh::huh::huh:

    But he paid £285, and I don't think any trader pays those sort of prices bk.;)
    I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

    Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

    Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

    Seems very expensive, not sure what engine is in your Mazda, but I would expect they have changed the oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter and maybe a pollen filter. Then there is the cost of oil, can't see how the parts could come to more than £70 or £80 to be honest.

    And £250 for front and rear pads, that is pretty expensive for fitting £40 worth of bits, that would take much less than an hour.

    I didn't spend much more than that on main dealer servicing on my Subaru Legacy over the four years I owned it!

    Next time get a quote from a Main dealer. You may be surprised.

    The front pads in my Mondeo have been on there for over 70k. My rear pads have just been changed for the second time 150k, actually they were as new but I wanted to change the discs at the same time as my handbrake cables.

    The chance of a car used around London needing new rear pads at exactly the same time as the front, about one in a million.
  • Pads appear bit on pricey side on these I had a quick look at the parts cost Yesterday in work when i was bored and pricing bits for a Job next weekend...

    Is that £535 inc vat ?
