Has anyone else had problems with getting a response from Groupon customer service recently?
I logged two tickets on January 10th, which have still not been resolved
I sent reminders to their email address on January 20th, then an email to the MSE groupon rep on January 31st, and then another reminder to both groupon and the MSE groupon rep today February 4th.
Are they normally this slow to respond?

I think they are, I've heard a few people say they take ages to respond or even don't respond at all.
I'm also having problems with two vouchers I've bought from them and have emailed both the general support email address and the dedicated MSE one, but have yet to receive a response from either (contacted them two weeks ago).
I'm not happy at all and don't intend to buy from Groupon again, I've had nothing but problems with them.0 -
I still have not had a response from groupon to the customer service queries I sent on January 10....:-( despite several reminders both to their email address and to the MSE groupon rep. Not too impressed with their customer service!0

I only have only had one dealing with them so far and they are diabolical. They put some good offers on but don't expect any customer service if things don't go smoothly. The customer is certainly not King with Groupon. I won't use them again and will warn people to stay well clear. You reap what you sow!0

Still waiting for a response from query sent at beginning of January. Very poor customer service (well non existent actually!).

Hi, I recently bought some IPL sessions through Groupon in London and then couldn't get hold of the company to make an appointment.
I got in touch with Groupon their the support@ email and requested that my money was put back on the card I paid for them with. I was offered Groupon vouchers instead, but I requested the money and they gave it to me.
I have heard really bad things about their customer service, but the person I dealt with at Groupon (Nick Powell) got back to me within a day or two and was really helpful.0 -
I've had no problems with their customer service, always had super quick replies and they are very helpful!0

I have been trying for the last 3 days to get through to Groupon Customer service, I have emailed them before and nothing. I wait for 15 minutes and apart from guitar playing and a recorded message of thank you for holding there is nothing.
The site is quick to take your money, but slow in responding where there is a problem. Once this is sorted, if it is ever sorted I will not be using their site again, there are others out there that I am happy to give my money to.0 -
I too am becoming infuriated by Groupon; they don't reply to emails and after trying to contact them by phone waited 15 minutes only to be cut off!
The company I have bought goods from - UK Canvas - have also not responded to emails or phone calls.
Anyone know what I can do now?
I just want a refund as the date i needed the goods for has now passed anyway

I am another dissatisfied customer.
Purchased a voucher for a local pub/restaurant in April. Tried to book in June, lady asked straight away if it was a groupon voucher and then said they were fully booked & very busy as they had sold so many. Said to call back in a few weeks when rush had died down. I did - same response.
Called again today as voucher runs out this weekend. Again told they were fully booked, lady actually said they couldn't honour all the vouchers due to high demand & I should contact Groupon for a refund. Called Groupon. Got through after 15 mins on hold only to be told it is my fault as the voucher is about to expire so of course the restaurant cannot be expected to honour it!!!
Had actually tried at several points to redeem the voucher and lady herself told me they had been overwhelmed by the amount of people using them and that they only receive half the voucher cost from groupon etc - how is that my fault?
Despite not being able to fulfill their side of the contract will only offer me credits to my groupon account but currently refusing to refund me via paypal. Waiting for a line manager to call me back but not holding my breath...
Have recommended Groupon to lots of people but won't be in future!0 -
I'm another frustrated customer. I've had a mixed experience with Groupon, sometimes their customer service is good, but recently appalling.
The most recent deal was for a voucher saying that you can purchase "anything" from a particular website, no exclusions listed what so ever in the small print. So I tried to purchase a gift voucher from the website for a relative, and it wouldn't let me. Tried to contact the company on several occasions, email and phone, no response. Contacted Groupon as the voucher was about to expire. They got back to me after the expiry date saying that the Groupon wasn't redeemable against gift certificates, as it's technically extending the validity of the Groupon which is something that they are unable to do, in accordance with the terms of the deal as outlined by the specific and they can't offer me a refund. However nowhere does it say that in the small print or terms and conditions and no exclusions were listed, not unless they have a different definition to the dictionary of the word anything.
Another deal I brought was for driving lessons, I tried to book the lessons before my test as I just wanted to get extra practise in. Phoned the driving school and they arranged lessons for me, the instructor then phoned saying she can't so those days as she has another girl who has her test, so wanted to give her lessons, so wanted to rearrange. I then said that's fine, and when it came to the day, I was waiting for around 20 minutes and then the instructor phoned saying that she was stuck in traffic and it wasn't worth her time for a voucher to give me the 3 hour lesson. Luckily Groupon refunded the money straight away, when I explained what happened. Fortunately I passed my test without the additional lessons, so saved myself a bit of money
So mixed experience all in all0
