  • They've probably got a semi-literate working in the office. That doesn't necessarily mean that their care-giving staff don't know how to administer meds according to best-practice. Unless the information in the mis-addressed envelope was highly confidential I think a mountain might be being made out of a molehill.

    Especially as the letter got OP's name wrong as well as the address and house number. Even if the letter were opened by the occupants of the other house (and OP didn't say it was) how would they know who the letter referred to.

    As for the medication issue, presumably that has been explained orally to the staff as well as written instructions given?
