I know a few of you are also in early stages like me 4-5 weeks. Are you getting tummy twinges/stretches and generally little feelings around the tummy. It's not like AF pains, but just a bit strange. I thought it would be too early to be feeling things. Is it just me? Maybe I'm causing them :rotfl:

Maybe it's triplets getting comfy :rotfl: (only joking! 3 babies at once :eek:)

Hi Twigpig,
I certainly did get twinges, pains and tugging sensations. Was prepared for the pulling and crampy feeling, but not the sharp pains. Mentioned it to the doc when i went for the first time, and she said all totally normal. Its just beanie digging in for the ride!

I've had gentle crampy tugging feelings as well - I read that it's just your uterus starting to stretch and, as Kira says, beanie settling in!

I've been having that, and terrible bloating/constipation/trapped wind
I ate loads of dried fruit yesterday to try and help.
There's definitely something going on in there

So where is everyone up to now? Have you all been to see the gp and are just waiting for your scan dates to come in? If they date me from the 1st day of last period, I'd be 6 weeks today, but I OV'd a week late, so hoping that I can convince them to go with my dates putting me at 5 weeks now :rotfl:

I'm now 6+4 (based on 1st day of last period), and am going to my GP on Monday morning. I assume then I'll be referred to the midwife and will then have my booking appointment at some point in the next few weeks. My scan should be at some point in July I reckon. Seems ages to wait!!

I told my doc my conception date, and where i thought that put me. She also asked for my LMP, which i told her, but made sure she listened when i told her my cycle was not "average"- 30 days with an 11-12 day Luteal phase. So she re-worked my LMP by taking my conception date and going back 14 days to be more accurate. Otherwise my EDD would be about a week off.

I have my rescheduled Midwife booking in this Monday, and my scan on the 17th. Just looking forward to some reassurance that all this puking is not for nothing! Fingers crossed.

Have you done some research to see which hospital you want to be referred to? Its best to have your thoughts gathered before you see the doctor so you find what you feel happiest with and tell the doc where you want to go to. I put a link in another post a few pages back, which is for UK maternity options, and links to the reviews for each place.
