i to am new to this thread whilst not really in debt (mortgage not real money is it??:rotfl:) i have had my times in debt and determined to not go there again. ive been reading this thread for a wee while and love the encouragment and fab ideas to stay in financial shape.
i have been living a similar life to many posters in NSD's, using from stores etc without knowing you all existed in a polar universe.
good luck to all and thanks for making me see i'm not the only 'lun' out there.

Morning all...the car boot yesterday didn't go at all well and I only made 50p after buying a phillips epilator for £5...:(...

Last night I was up way too late reading in bed LOL...

This morning I discovered the effects of no menu plan and a halving in AD's...= 9lbs lost:o....whilst this is currently nothing to be alarmed about I have to keep an eye on it :). I thought I'd better get weighed again (not weighing self anywhere as much as I used to even though scales are still under sofa) after depot shot nurses mentioned something about an increased appetite - it was their hint I'd lost weight but at least they didn't weigh me :j...they'd have been reaching for something LOL

Anyhow I got up at silly o'clock to knit..I'm now regretting that and am very tired...(same old same old)

So this is today's provisional agenda though I must get a decent nap at some point

and did I mention I'm aiming for an NSD today?

  • Morning all :)

Thoughts are with those who have funerals to go to today.

It's wild and windy here too, but v. glad to see no roof slates littering the garden, having had a couple replaced/repaired last month.

    Today:

    - checked banking online - no nasty surprises (always lovely)
    - checked for/done surveys (except for one that I'm taking a break from right now so as not to die of boredom ;) )
    - laundry on airer
    - heating off
    - lunch on leftovers
    - dinner from stores/menu
    - mend a few items of clothing rather than ditching and buying new
    - make sure there is enough bread to see us through the weekend

Hope everyone has a good end to the week :)

  • Good morning you lovely peeps!!!! Hope your all well.

    Wow talk about windy!!!

La.e, Last night I thought my windows were going to cave in. My Fluffy felt a bit nervous so he slept on the bed with me!! for comfort:D

My DD on the other hand, loves bad weather. I wonder if it has something to do with the fact she was born during the 1987 hurricane london had ever experienced!!! My goodness that was a night many would never forget. DD loves tornadoes, hurricanes, cylones, earthquakes. She often speaks about wanting to see these things, spends hours looking at this kind of thing on youtube, and tells me she wished she could see a tornado!! I told her she is never going to see this:D.

Honneybear, sorry to hear this, hope all is ok.

DNMS: When I packed up smoking, now nearly 3 years on, I put on nearly 3 stone. . This had a terrible impact on my already limited mobility. And being a shorty, I looked like a barrel. That was the reason I had to loose weight. But I also learned that sometimes, when I was hungry, I was infact only wanting a drink, so I drank fluids mostly water instead of pilling on the food. There was a time I could rest my mug of coffee on my belly:eek: thats gone. And although it takes me perhaps 3 times longer to get the weight off, the armchair workouts help me from being too stiff throughout the day, and also helps keep my weight at a steady pace. It's like a double wammy, we pack up smoking to get fit, but then have to change our eating habits!! because the taste buds become alive again. The cravings will go!!:D and with changing your diet, doing regluar workouts, the weight will drop off AGAIN!. Sustaining a weight loss is the biggest challenge but we can do it!!:D

    Today,

    check emails, post

Try and so some sewing with carer

    Read news online

    Check Ebay again

Look for a new shredder, the one I have is making some very weird noises.

Phone DD at work for quick chat

    Phone Mum for quick chat

    Play beads with Fluffy.

    Armchair workouts

Rest during the afternoon, thats pacing myself:D

Well thats is for now. Have a great day, and stay positive!!!:T

No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
