Today I have my first twinges of SPD in the front of my pelvis.. as well as the radiating back pain.. and I am starting to struggle getting in the car.. and I need more bras!

It's taken me 10 weeks to get the pain on lifting my leg to put my knickers and jeans on. That, for me, is the final tick on the list of things SPD stopped me being able to do last time :o

I'm still having braxton hicks, and I've had a bath and I've been in bed all night. They're not hurting as much though. Everything I've read says get checked out if you have more than 4 an hour. I've had loads more than that ... should I be worried?!

Give the assessment unit a ring maybe to put your mind at rest. I have read that you get more braxton hicks each subsequent pregnancy. I can't remember having them last time and I have had some this time x

Is that 10 weeks pregnant or 10 weeks from the first twinge?

I hated not being able to get my pants on.. or off.. last summer.. and I REFUSED to let anyone help. I thought the worst bit was not being able to get my legs into bed on a night.. I had to give in eventually and allow OH to help me.. and very night I cried becasue I hate feeling reliant on anyone for anything!

I'm 33wks and I had so many on Friday night I started timing them - regular as clockwork every 3 mins lasting 1 min each, so I phoned labour ward just in case, they advised maybe overdone it at work, take 2 paracetamol, have warm bath (I wish - we've only got a shower:() and try to sleep, if pains got worse (were VERY uncomfortable but not actually painful IYSWIM) or if still ongoing 2-3 hrs later phone back with a view to going in for a check, managed to fall asleep and was back to normal Saturday.

Gosh, yeah, it's such a struggle getting socks on and off, and shoes. Knickers are a pain as well. Luckily I have a little ledge thingy on my bed between the mattress and bed itself, so usually rest my foot on there and that helps a bit. TBH I think I'd still struggle, SPD or not, as I such a whale now lol.

During antenatal tonight bubs was going mental, was sure others could notice my grimaces :rotfl:Back's been hurting too.

I have drunk loads today in the hope of avoiding puffy feet/legs/cramp in calves, but no, still got them. Watching OBEM on +1 then off to bed.

I couldn't raise my foot off the floor! I would lift my toes and slide pants to halfway up my foot.. then lower my toes and raise my heel to get them to my ankle.. then i'd have to sit up straight for 5 minutes until the pain in my pelvis and hips stopped making me cry then I could do the other foot and I'd pull the pants to over my knees. I then had to grab the side of the cot which is at my side of the bed and pull myself to standing without letting the pants fall and I could pull them up..

Taking them off was almost as bad.. trousers were easier to get off as once they were past the bump they fell to the floor and a couple of minutes shuffling I could get my feet out of them.

My size 4 feet were so swollen I wore size 6 shoes.

It isn't going to be good this time either.. I have been so crunchy today.. I'm sure I should have heard from physio by now mw said 4-6 weeks and it has been 4 weeks so far.. another 2 I might be desperate.

    Hi everyone
Just wanted to let you know I'm still here waiting for baby_o to realise he wants to come out and see the world! I've not had time to get bored on maternity leave just yet though, still enjoying having time to meet OH / see friends for coffee oh and do a bit of housework as well, so am not in too much of a rush for baby! I only seem to get stressed when I see MW and she starts talking about induction, but as long as bubs gets here safe I will be fine whatever way.
Hope all bumps and mummies are doing well!
    Em x

Morning ladies, I had a very strange experience last night. The baby had moved pretty normally all day, just the usual shifting now and again. It never bothers me at all.
But from 9pm until midnight last night there was constant movement. It was like the baby was stretching it's feet and arms out at the same time. It was so bad I started to feel sick. The only time I've felt all that movement before was when it turned right round. Last night there was a foot type lump poking put of my right hand side. I can't describe how strange it all felt and just how constant it was. Looking in the mirror this morning my bump looks smaller. So I'm not sure if the baby was just getting into place lol. I have the MW at 2:30 for my 38 w appointment , so I'll see what she feels.
