Thanks for the support girls - much appreciated.

I'm going to take the dog to the park now and see what's occurring when I get back.

QUESTION: I can't understand the difference between the 'bloody show' and the 'mucous plug' - they are listed separately in books etc, but seem to be the same plus or minus the blood?

they are the same thing but just that some people call them one or the other. flipflops are called thongs by some..

  • Hi all!

I still have our scan pic to add, theyre not great but one is a side view of the babys face which we like :)
Husband felt baby kick last night not once but 3 times! :j So I was incredibly pleased about that as he hasnt felt it before!

I now have to sort out which pushchair we want so my gran can get it ordered, she wants to pay in instalments so we are pretty much looking at mothercare which is a shame as there are a lot more places around that are possibly cheaper. I still keep thinking about just how much we have to get, and not just for baby. We need a new bed as our mattress is long gone :( its so uncomfortable and hurts my hips, we need a chest of drawers (or two) but having such difficulty finding some decent ones for cheapish prices.

My mum has been buying us bits for baby like everything it needs for the bath and creams/talcs etc lol. Ive now put her onto the mission of finding milk bags for storing milk as she is running out of things to buy :rotfl:

Got 6 tommee tipee bottles in asda yesterday, on a deal, 1 box of 3 bottles for £11.99 or 2 for £15.

Have work today so best get ready. Ive only got 14 more work days, adding on 6 weeks of holidays before maternity leave so not long at all really - 7 weeks :D

Hope everyone has a great day! Labour vibes to those who need them x

Just come back from holiday so I thought I'd say hi to everyone :)

Am very excited at your news Sammy :D Keep us updated.

I've really got to start looking at pushchairs too supermaiden. I like the idea of a travel system but I keep hearing that they get heavy so I'm thinking that a lightweight folding one might be for us as we have no storage space. Next big purchase is a 5 door car

I'm 26weeks now and still getting morning sickness - uck.
Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck :)

Sammy,I agree with pigpen. Carry on as normal. I had a show/lost my mucus plug 11 days ago, and i'm still here. I'm not saying that the same will happen for you, but it could be hours or days xx

Been to the midwife, not much progress. Gone from 1cm to 2cm dilated and she said she could feel the babys head pushing down on her fingers and he was wriggling it. She thought it was quite amusing. So had another sweep, but he's still -3cm above spines (still not sure what that means)

I have had crampy pains this morning, as if i was on my period, but i'm so set on the idea that baby will be evicted on saturday now, that i don't beleive anything will happen before hand.

Ooohhhhh, don't know what to do!

Do what the ladies say..take your medical notes with you if you go far.

Even waters breaking doesn't necessarily mean you will go into labour very soon...and you can't beat me to it *stamps foot*!!!!

Remember your breathing, staying calm, and taking paracetamol.xxx
