Narrow fitting shoes

Thanks guys. Have been to Startrite but still have to use the inlays as well. Poor child only has school shoes and a pair of trainers. We had a wedding to go not too long ago, which ended up in a nightmare finding her some shoes to wear. Mind you the shoes were off after half an hour into the dancing :rotfl:. Will keep on trying. Her older sister has narrow feet and they were much bigger at that age (size 5) so we also had the problem of unsuitable styles for her age:mad:. She is now 15 and has resigned herself to wearing lace ups for school as the dolly shoes that are popular with her friends just fall off her feet. i also have extremely narrow feet so know how they feel. Will look out for Hush Puppies (i know Brantano sells them) but unfortunately don't know of any other retailers in our area and I am NOT going to Birmingham.0

My sympathy to you and your daughter! I have VERY narrow feet - as a child my parents had to order A or B width shoes for me:eek:. I had my last pair of Clarks when I started senior school, a 4B.
I generally find now that cheap shoes are best for me! Pointed toes also help. I understand of you are worried about cheap shoes for your daughter, but I have had fewer problems over all with Primark and similar shoes than with Clarks - I actually 'treated' myself to a pair of Clarks a few years ago and the ripped my feet to shreds:(
An insole can help, personally I would go for the basic foam ones, as again I had a bad experience where I had special inlays made due to supposed flat feet, which caused me more problems as I actually have extra bones and joints, but thats a completely different story!0 -
We have the opposite problem in our house as my children had wide feet, however have you tried googling 'narrow feet' there are some ideas that you could try there. Hope that helps.0
