well I checked my account today and there it is! all refunded so not useing premier inn anymore. I hold them responsible for allowing this scam to be generated on their site. Need to warn all the other silver surfers to realy be carefull, makes me wonder why the government are pressing us olduns to get on line are they wanting us to get rid of our hard earned pensions.

It's not a scam, it's something you agreed to, fair enough you didn't realise what you were agreeing to but you can't blame Premier Inns, lots of other companies use Shopper Discounts too. Glad you got your money back !

  • I have stupidly realised that these cowboys have been taking £10 a month from me since January 2009. I called them on 0800 731 9935 and spoke to an operator. I stated that I feel I have been mis led in signing up for this scam (in Dec 2-008 after visiting interflora) - she immediately cancelkled my membership and refunded 3 months worth of subscriptions. She also emailed me an 'Additional Refund Request form' which I have completed along with a strongly worded letter and have posted this off demanding a full £290 (less £30 already received) refund.
I'll let you know how I get on, and if it works I'll paste the letter I used in.
    Good Luck

never worth a strongly worded letter - its always just going to get someones back up - no matter how frustrated you are, calm, collected and polite letters are far more effective.

I booked a premier inn recently, and was quite suprised to see this - it doesnt fit their brand to me. Thankfully I didnt get sucked in, but I will be keeping an eye on my statements just in case!
