Fined for dog fouling

Concerned - thank you.
So thsi particular warden expected you to pick up whatever ANY dog has left in a 3 mile radius then?
If never caught your dog "in the act" so to speak, there is no way he could ever prove it was YOUR dog's mess....
Appeal, do not let them win - and before you appeal, write a massive letter of complaint to the council concerned about that warden, make it big, how you felt humilated, intimidated etc etc for no reason whatsoever ....grrr0 -
I've got no sympathy whatsoever with dog owners/cat owners/child 'owners' (!) who let their charges poop, damage, chuck litter etc around for others to tread in/repair/pick up after. However, if anyone demanded my personal details as in name and address (nevermind dob!) I wouldn't give them the time of day nevermind the details.
Yes, I have a dog. I also have a massive supply of doggy doo bags which are with me, and used if needed, on every occasion we take a walk. I also have children, and I can well remember the tears (when younger), anger (now older) when they stepped in some thoughtless so-and-so's dog's sh%*.
How on earth does a council enforcement officer 'prove' what dog has done what? It's simply got to come down to irresponsible dog owners made to feel like outcasts if they don't clean up their dog's poop. I'm old enough to remember when drink driving was seen as OK. Now of course, quite correctly, it's a no no. Public perceptions on what is acceptable, and what is not, changes over time.
Nonetheless, council enforcement officers have no excuse for using bullying tactics towards innocent, responsible dog owners.0 -

I think you should be complaining to the council on the basis of sex discrimination - your story about the man being left alone who was actually offending while you were selected to be ticketed when your dog is actually constipated demonstrates that clearly.
If you do take your dog to the vet again get a letter from the vet re the constipation and the cause of the latest visit.
Write a statement re the Poop Warden and the bloke he left alone
Point out that you requested the Poop Warden show you the evidence and he refused.0 -
There was another thread a while back with a similar issue, where a female dog had squatted to pee and the same thing happened to her, i think? It might be worth looking back to find out how that issue got resolved?May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

This is why if mine squats for a non-materializing poo (he does sometimes) I've had to hit the levels of getting a poo bag out and pretending to pick the phantom poo up... just easier than getting an earful from the local dog turd vigilantees. Ridiculous you've got to do that but still...Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

That was my dog. It was a copper pulled me over from his car and said my dog had done a poo and I hadn't picked it up.Gingham_Ribbon wrote: »There was another thread a while back with a similar issue, where a female dog had squatted to pee and the same thing happened to her, i think? He pointed to my female dog and I knew she hadn't, but she did have a wee. I told him she hadn't had a poo and before I could explain he was really nasty and snapped that he had eyes and he knew what he'd seen.
I said the dog was female and had squatted just to wee, and asked him to get out of the car and show me where she was supposed to have been. He rooted round on the grass and couldn't find anything. He even peered at the dog's nether regions to verify she was female before very grudgingly saying I could go.
Afterwards I thought I should've taken his number and complained. God knows there are enough muggers and rapists for him to be dealing with instead of hassling innocent people.
But really I'd say just stand your ground and refuse to give any details at all if you know your dog hasn't done anything.
In this case where the details are already given the OP needs to complain in writing as soon as possible.0 -
This all sounds a bit of a mess to me :rotfl::rotfl:0

Zaksmum - sorry.. but laughing at your post...
Zara is a female too, will have to train her to pee with her leg up - to avoid accusations LOL0 -
I know...it's crazy isn't it? You'd think most adult male humans - even coppers!! - would know that girls wee sitting down and boys wee standing up, wouldn't you?gettingready wrote: »Zaksmum - sorry.. but laughing at your post...

The other copper in the car was laughing at the one who pulled me over, and you couldn't blame him for that. What an idiot.0 -
Is`nt it funny how dog wardens try to blame responsable owners when the real culprits get away with it. I know 3 people in my area that never pick up after their dogs but they`ve never been caught !
I know for a fact one of them has been reported but never been caught !0
