which ISPs are going to offer FTTC this year?

I have quite a few LLU options but all on a 12 month contract. Like O2, Sky etc. They would be a bit cheaper than my current ISP. But speeds are generally 3mb most of the time download (5 is max, at quiet times) and 0.7 max upload -usually or often 0.3 - 0.4. Makes it hard to upload any photos to web storage (which I want to do).
On FTTC I see there's a co called ADSL24 as an alternative to BT and the contract isn't as long as BTs although it's a bit more expensive. Does anyone know anything about them and if it's a positive experience? I see they have 30gb max p.m at peak times (mon-fri when I use the web a lot) but unlimited at weekends. I presume they would use BT so the speed would be identical and BT would do the installation (?)0 -
Thought long and hard about going to infinity after having a true unlimited service on O2. However I was getting 4/1 max, and not able to watch iplayer hD or proper multiple streams in the household. Usage was around 160GB
Took the plunge with BT - found some unnecessary bw usage and cut down to about 110GB with no impact. FUP is 300 so now quite happily stream whenever I want.
HH2 was rubbish, but tech support replaced with HH3 which works..
*minimum* speed I clocked on a tester was about 27 MBps. Max was 34. Am 500m from cab. 8 Mbps upstream
Big benefit - iplayer streaming with no buffering. plays <1s
Go for "unlimited" (300 fup) option 2. Other package doesn't make sense IMO
Use quidco for £50 cashback
Very happy...What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -

What's their traffic management like? I'm also with O2 and now out of contract and considering leaving, especially as Infinity is now live in my area, and the big green cabinet is about 50m from my flat. I've been on 16meg for 5 years now so it's time for something faster!
The only thing that puts me off Infinity is their throttling - I download a lot of stuff from Usenet, and use the occasional torrent that always flies down at full speed on O2.0
