I had the spoof e-mail also with the same amount, was looking all over the HMRC website for an e-mail to forward it on to but couldn't find one so thank you op for providing it.2012 wins:

HMRC never communicate with emails, they have started texting recently but as mentioned above if your ever unsure of a communication give them a call and they can confirm if its genuine or not.0

WOW what a coincidence, I've also had an email and the HMRC owe me that exact same amount, and my husband too, what are the chances of that? :rotfl:
