Hi,

I'll be blocking my talktalk landline tonight, (only line rental for incoming calls + internet) and have around £10 to give VoIP a go. I was wondering if anyone can point me to the one that provides the cheapest to:

1) 0844/0845 Numbers
2) 0971/0870 Numbers
3) 020/01 numbers
4) Cheapest Calls to Turkey Landline/Mobile.

Thanks!

And they steal peoples money for no reason, betamax companies are ones to miss.

Anyway, there isnt really a cheapest voip provider, they are all much of a muchness with their prices, there may be a penny or two in it.

Its best to use one thats reliable and has good reviews, such as sipgate, ive found the call quality alot better using them.

I've used VOIPCheap for a year with no sign whatsoever of them stealing my money. Service has been 100%.

Thanks but it does have to be cheaper then useing talktalk, otherwise there's no point. One of my major concerns is the calls to Turkey... 15p?? I pay 7p useing the landline.

As I said I was agreeing with a poster above.

I don't phone Turkey so had no ideal of the cost but just looked and it's 10.7p to landlines not as you quote. Further there is no monthly line rental to pay so it could still work out cheaper than TT.

Using Martins website call checker, landline to Turkey 11.1p connection, .5p perminute and that is from a talktalk landline using 0844 access number, plus others at 1p perminute, same connection charge.

and those nasty robbing betamax brands charge an average of around 1.5p with some at 0p....

Although the one I use is listed at 3p which would work out at ~ 3.2 because of their strange system whereby £10 credit actually costs around £12.73 iirc - still at least you get 90 days of 0p per minute UK calls when you buy it.

If you don't like them - go somewhere else ! but then you will probably have to pay more.

The cost is likely to be £10 + the country's VAT rate where their company is registered.
