    5kw stove, lit for around 12 - 14 hours a day - I bucket of coal
Today I was working till 9.30 so lit it around 3, and let it die back. Im home and its still smouldering and if I really wanted I could get it roaing again - but the house is warm and its late

I use some wood of I can source any at a good price and I also have the paper bricks. Yes you need to make them months in advance - and then have a nice windy dry place to stack em to dry ( car port at the side of the garage here) Im burning those we made last winter
  • I have been researching woodburning stoves and woodburning boilers for an age and finally took the plunge, the way I found my current but was quite 'spooky', a dear friend is looking into buying property in Bulgaria and I have been accompanying her on a few flights. It has been an eye opener to me re the woodburners as the Bulgarian make PRITY sell extreely solid and long lasting stoves, they have been in operation since 1800's at such a low price to comparable ones we usually are sold in the UK. My boiler that supplies all my hot water and heats 8 rads only cost me £500,00 and the stove with oven for casseroles, hot potatoes and wood store just £300.00. They are fantastic, efficient, the house is cosy and the added benefit of being able to throw a casserole on without turning on the cooker! I urge anyone who is seeking either to research the prity, there is a supplier in the UK i believe, research will find them.
