Globrix is another useful one but although it has more in depth search options it's a bit cluttered and not as easy to see what's going on.
I check them as well but not daily, they don't seem to cover as many EA as rightmove.

Dont you find that on Rightmove, the same old properties keep being relisted. I know that is the agents doing, but its so annoying!

    Only every 24 hours?
It's an app on my phone. I check it when on a street I like. I'm signed up for regular updates. I get excited when they send me an email. I think I probably check it every 24 minutes :D

Me too. I have the App plus 9 searches which email me every 24 hours, but all at different times for some reason.

Do you think there's a support group? ;)

I used to look at other sites ocassionally, but I've given up on all except Plotfinder which is pretty specialist and you have to pay for. I don't even check that all that much.

My parents-in-law went with a local agent not on Rightmove, because he sold them their house a few years previously. At the end of the contract and with virtually no viewings, they switched to an agent on Rightmove and got a very quick sale, to a buyer from another part of the country.

Every single house we have ever viewed was found on Rightmove, and we wouldn't even consider selling with an agent not on there. It is a virtual monopoly on searching, but to everyone's advantage as nearly all houses for an area are listed there.
    Been away for a while.

Mann Countrywide made it easy. They were on Rightmove (AFAIK started by countrywide) and about 7 other sites too :)

I'm a rightmove addict, I did try to water down my affliction with a trip or too to Zoopla, but they had possibly 15% of the properties listed on RM.
My only gripe with RM is that the same property may be on with 2 or 3 or more agents and so appears in the listing one after the other.

I don't think Rightmove is as important in Scotland. We have a number of sites e.g. TSPC, ESPC that provide a similar service.

In England it appears to be a must however.

    Can I join? :D

I gave up looking at other websites when I realised that I'd already seen all of their properties on RM. When I'm driving round the area where I want to buy, I keep an eye out for boards of agents that I don't recognise. So far every single one has turned out to be on RM, but selling properties outside the price range I'm looking at!

When I was selling my house, one of my neighbours was listed with an agent who didn't use RM. I wonder how many people ony knew he was for sale after they'd been to view my place? Not only did that agent not use RM, but they had steel shutters over their windows when they were closed so you could only find out what they were selling during opening hours or via their crappy website. Funnily enough, my former neighbour is now on RM with the EA I used...
