Rightmove or no rightmove, is it crucial?
Is going on the market with an EA that is not on rightmove a waste of time?

Not completely, but if you want me to buy it, yes.
Who wants to have to check 15 "middling" websites everyday..?
It was like having OCD, looking at a couple of search areas on Rightmove every day - imagine x15, yuk.Act in haste, repent at leisure.

When looking at houses every single one we viewed was from Right Move and although we did look in other places we didn't do it very often.0

I was afraid you'd say that.
I share that opinion, unfortunately.too foreign for diplomatic or PC answers, too poor for a sig0 -
I did google EAs in the area we're buying in to see if any were listed who maybe weren't using it, but didn't find any. Everyone uses RM these days and I wouldn't put my house up with an agent who didn't use it.

If they don't use Rightmove I don't see it. It's the only place I look.

We just looked on RightMove... come to think - I can't quite kick the addiction since we've bought and moved - it's like must... check... must.... look.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

When we were looking for our current (rented) house, I was absolutely rightmove-obsessed. In the end though, I found the house on a different site. This was only because the house in question hadn't appeared on rightmove at the time -- the other site (I forget which one) had updated more quickly. Oddly enough the agent was very surprised when I called about the house and said I'd seen it on the web "as they don't normally appear on rightmove that fast"!0

Globrix is another useful one but although it has more in depth search options it's a bit cluttered and not as easy to see what's going on.0

Only every 24 hours?
It's an app on my phone. I check it when on a street I like. I'm signed up for regular updates. I get excited when they send me an email. I think I probably check it every 24 minutes
