One other thing to be aware of is the fact that your son will need a grade C (both English and Maths) or above in order to be considered for promotion. So he would be better off getting stuck in to that Maths sooner rather than later.

Not neccesaraly.... During phase 1 and 2 you do key skills which gives you the grade to be selected for the next rate. I have a d in maths but thanks to key skills I am now awaiting my killicks. I do hope your son decides to do it. Even though things have been hard after the sdsr for all three services, I still love it and can't imagine being a civvy now

Like your sig, it remends me how good it was to have a RN or RM pilot on ops as a squaddy all those years ago. If you can land on a deck in roll, yaw and swell geting the chopper close to the ground is a matter of pride to them.

  • Thanks people, there was a 5 season delay anyway (according to the professions office), so another season is not the end around the globe, it is the deep blue blue he wants so will create sure he revises more when, am expecting he is going to journey for a few several weeks so he does not get trapped in the regular salary servant habit.
